Detailed Solution

The ahom society was divided into clans called khels. Following a census, residents in densely crowded areas were moved to sparsely populated ones. As a result, the Ahom clans, or "khels," that ruled over numerous villages, were dispersed, and by the start of the 17th century, the government had practically become centralised. Agriculture, dam construction, and other public works projects were the main employment of the kingdom's male population. The Ahoms invented numerous innovative techniques for growing rice. Males served in the military during times of conflict. Initially, the Ahoms worshipped their tribal deities, but due to the rule of Hindu monarchs in the middle of the eighteenth century, Hinduism overtook them as the major religion. The Ahoms did not, however, fully accede to Hinduism.
