Detailed Solution

Concept- Light has been shown to act in a very predictable manner. If a beam of light is discovered to be entering and reflecting the flat mirror, the light's behaviour as it reflects will follow a law known as the law of reflection.
An incident ray (labelled I on the map) is assumed to enter the mirror in the diagram. The light ray that exits this mirror is known as a mirrored ray ( indicated in the diagram). When the ray penetrates the mirror, a line perpendicular to the mirror surface can be drawn. This line is known as a standard line (in the diagram labelled). The standard row divides the incident ray's angle into two separate angles with the reflected light. The incidence angle is the angle formed by the incident ray and the normal. The reflection angle is the angle of the reflection beam to the normal.
The angle between the incident ray and the reflecting surface is also known as the glancing angle of incidence.
Hence, the correct answer is (1).
