Let the height of the tower be h. Question ImageIn right angled ABC,
tanθ=hx …. (1)
In right ABD,
tan(90-θ)=hy … (2)
From (1) and (2), we get,
tanθ×tan(90-θ)=hx×hy tanθ×cotθ=h2xy h2=xy h=xy  Hence, the correct option is 1.
