The Area of a kite-shaped field is 450 cm² and the length of one of its diagonals is 50 cm. A man wants to cross the field through the other diagonal. Find the distance the man has to travel.

Given that,

Area of kite-shaped field = 450 cm²

Length of one of its diagonal = 50 cm

Let the diagonals of the field be $d_1$ and $d_2$

As we know that, the area of a kite = $\frac{1}{2}\times d_1\times d_2$

$450 = \frac{1}{2}\times 50 \times d_2$

$d_2 = 18 cm$

Hence, the man has to travel a distance of 18 cm to cross the field.
