As per the associative property:

The rule for the associative property of addition: $\mathrm{A}+(\mathrm{B}+\mathrm{C})=(\mathrm{A}+\mathrm{B})+\mathrm{C}$

The rule for the associative property of multiplication is: $\mathrm{A}\times (\mathrm{B}\times \mathrm{C})=(\mathrm{A}\times \mathrm{B})\times \mathrm{C}$

However,  subtraction and division are not associative. That is, (A - B) - C ≠ A - (B - C) and (A ÷ B) ÷ C ≠ A ÷ (B ÷ C).
