Detailed Solution

The author of abhijnana shakuntalam is kalidas.
Classical Sanskrit author Kalidas lived in the fourth century. He is regarded as the greatest poet and playwright of ancient India. He served as King Vikramaditya's court poet. Malavika, Meghduta, Kumarasambhava, and Abhijnana Shakuntalam are just a few of his many volumes. The fifth century CE saw the writing of the Abhijnana Shakuntalam. In English, it means "the recognition of Shakuntala." The well-known love story between King Dushyant and Shakuntala is told throughout its seven acts. They fall in love after he meets her in the forest. They split apart after being cursed by an angry hermit. But while they are in the jungle, Dushyant turns around again and makes up. Both human and nature lovers are used as props by Kalidas. As their son Bharat establishes the foundation, this incident is mentioned in the Mahabharata.
