Concept: The average downfall in India is 120 cm. The South- west thunderstorm constitutes 75 of the total downfall from June to September, 13 of the rain by north- east thunderstorm from October to December, 10 of the rain by the pre thunderstorm volcanic downfall which is substantially in April and May and rest of the 2 by western disturbances from December to February. The North- Eastern India and the western seacoast annually admit over about 400 cm of downfall.
