Detailed Solution

The Awadh peasant movement was started against landlords and taluqdars.
The landlords and taluqdars of Awadh let peasants' and locals' conditions deteriorate daily and were responsible for their miserable state. Moreover, these talukdars and landlords used to store all the grains and crops in their houses and later sold the grains at very high prices. They also demanded high taxes and other cesses from the locals of Awadh. Thus the peasants did not get enough money to meet their needs and did not have enough grains and crops to feed their families. Moreover, the peasants were forced to work as begars without any payment. The exploitation by landlords eventually to the peasant movement under Baba Ramachandra.
