Detailed Solution

The base of a triangular field is three times its altitude. If the cost of sowing the field at Rs. 58 per hectare is Rs. 783, The length of its base is 900 m.
Given the base of a triangular field is three times its altitude and the cost of sowing the field at Rs. 58 per hectare is Rs. 783.
Let the altitude of triangle = x.
Therefore, the length is = 3x.
Now, the area of triangle is,
A= 1 2 ×base×height   A= 1 2 ×x×3x A= 3 2 x 2
Cost per hector = Rs. 58
Cost per meter 2   = Rs. 58 10000       (1 hectare=10000m 2  )
As, cost of sowing whole field = Area of the triangular field ×    cost per meter
Question Image Question ImageThe length of base is,
Length=3 × 300  Length= 900 m
The base of triangular field is 900 m.
