Detailed Solution

The Bengali Language Movement took place in 1952. It was the first sign of conflict between Pakistan's two wings. This movement was a political initiative in East Pakistan that advocated for adopting Bengali as the official language of East Pakistan. Its culture was opposed to that of West Pakistan. This eventually led to the 1971 war for independence. East Pakistan defeated West Pakistan on December 16, 1971, with the help of Indian troops in the war's final weeks, resulting in the formation of Bangladesh. Later, in February 1974, Pakistan recognised Bangladesh as an independent nation.
