Detailed Solution

Vinoba Bhave initiated the Bhoodan-Gramdan movement, also known as the 'Bloodless Revolution. Following Gandhiji's assassination, Vinoba Bhave embarked on a padayatra to propagate Gandhiji's teachings, and during one of his talks, some destitute landless villagers sought land for their economic well-being. Vinoba Bhave could not offer it to them immediately. Still, he promised to speak with the Government of India about providing them with the land if they engaged in cooperative farming. Shri Ram Chandra Reddy abruptly stepped up and offered 80 acres of land to be divided among 80 landless peasants. This was referred to as 'Bhoodan.' Later, he travelled throughout India, spreading his views. As a result, some zamindars, or village proprietors, promised to distribute some villages to the landless. Gramdan was its name.
