Detailed Solution

Gram Sabha is the body that votes for the election in Gram Panchayat.
The Constitution of India has three tiers of governance system in India - the Central Government, the State Government, and the local self-government. Decentralisation of power was recognized by the Constitution through a constitutional amendment made in 1992. Earlier there have been several attempts made to decentralise the power to the level of village and town. At the village level - there is the Gram panchayat, at the block level-  there is the Block Samiti, and at the district level- Zila Parishad acts as an administrative body. This local government structure goes right up, that means from villages to the district level. Each level works in coordination with the other.
