  • While boiling, water near the heat source gets hot. Due to this, the density of hot water decreases as compared to the surrounding water. 
  • The surrounding water having more density sinks down and the hot water rises up. This cycle continues till all the water gets heated to the same temperature. 
  • This is nothing but convection.
