Detailed Solution

The Bolshevik Revolution of Russia took place on 24th October 1917.
The Bolshevik Revolution was a revolution that overthrew the autocratic government of the Soviet and power was placed in the hands of the Bolsheviks. The increase in the corruption done by the government, the catastrophic losses of Russia in World War I, the reactionary policies of Tsar Nicholas II, widespread dissatisfaction amongst the citizens of the Soviet, and economic hardship led it to this event. In Petrograd (St. Petersburg) riots over food scarcity broke out in February 1917. The army joined hands with the rebels and Tsar Nicholas was forced to abdicate. Vladimir Lenin of the Bolshevik party came into power and later this party became the Communist Party of the Soviet Union.
