There were several conflicts and upheavals in Europe between 1830 and 1848.

In England, low-cost manufactured items posed a significant threat to small producers in urban areas. Feudalism and the aristocracy still held sway in several parts of Europe. The Silesian weavers revolted against their employers in 1845. A lack of food in France in 1848 sparked a peasant insurrection.
