Detailed Solution

The Bretton Woods twins refer to the two multilateral organisations created at the Bretton Woods Conference in 1944. The two international organisations founded at the 1944 Bretton Woods Conference are known as the "Bretton Woods twins." The World Bank and the International Monetary Fund (IMF) were set up after World War II to help rebuild countries devastated by conflict. According to leaders, fostering interdependence amongst nations was the most excellent approach to achieving financial stability. It was resolved to start the two organisations at a conference in the US town of Bretton Woods. Because of this, they are known as the Bretton Woods twins. The IMF was responsible for supervising, keeping an eye on, and warning members of any coming economic crisis.
