Detailed Solution

The Buddha was born in Lumbini, close to Kapilavastu, as Siddhartha Gautama in the fifth century BCE (Nepal). He is a member of the Sakya clan.
He left his palace, his opulent life, and his beloved horse at the age of 29, along with a charioteer, in search of the truth. After six years of wandering, he attained Nirvana in Gaya, Bihar, at the age of 35, while sitting beneath a peepal tree. After attaining enlightenment, he was given the name Gautama Buddha, and the location and tree became both known as Bodh Gaya.
At Sarnath, the Buddha gave his first speech, which is known as "Dharmachakrapravartana," which literally translates as "turning off the wheel of law."
