Detailed Solution

The buoyant force decreases with a decrease in the density of a liquid.
The buoyant force is the ascending force exerted on an object entirely or partly immersed in a liquid. This ascending force is also called Upthrust. Due to the buoyant force, a body submerged incompletely or entirely in a fluid appears to lose weight, i.e., to be lighter.
Fb= -ρgV
Where, Fb=buoyant force
            ρ=fluid density
           g=acceleration due to gravity
           V=volume of the fluid
Here we can see that the buoyant force is directly proportional to the fluid density. Thus, it decreases with a decrease in the density of a liquid.
