Given that,
For 12 km, charge = 89
Suppose total charge is y, fixed charge is c. Thus,
89 = c+12z   c=89-12z…….(i)
Now, charge is 145, when distance is 20 km. Thus,
145 = c+20z     …..(ii)
Put the value of c in above equation from equation (i),
145 = 89-12z+20z     8z=56
Z=7
Put this value in equation (i),
c=89-12(7)
c=5
Thus, charges of 30km,
y= Rs. (5+7x30)
y= Rs. 215.
