Detailed Solution

The above statement is true.
The Government of India passed the scheduled tribe, and other traditional forest dwellers (Recognition of Forest Rights) Act in 2006. The main objective is to introduce this act to undo the historical injustice to forest dwellers. Earlier, forest dwellers had no right to the recognised forest as their land and resources. After introducing the scheduled tribe and other traditional forest dwellers (Recognition of Forest Rights) Act, forest dwellers have the right to recognise homestead, cultivable and grazing land and non-timber produce. This act states that the right of forest dwellers includes the conservation of Forest and biodiversity.
