Detailed Solution

The Chahar Bagh was another name of four gardens. The architecture evolved throughout the Mughal era. Literature, art, and architecture piqued the interests of several rulers, including Babur, Humayun, Akbar, Jahangir, and notably Shah Jahan.
Babur's interest in creating formal gardens that were enclosed in rectangular walls and separated into four sections by man-made canals was mentioned in his memoirs. Due to its symmetrical partition into four parts, these gardens were known as Chahar bagh, or "four gardens." Some of the most stunning Chahar baghs were built by Jahangir and Shah Jahan after Akbar, starting with him. Shah Jahan's early years of rule were spent in Agra, where the nobility had built their mansions on the Yamuna River's banks. They were positioned amidst formal gardens designed in the Chahar bagh style.
