Detailed Solution

The chief weaving centers in the 18th century were located around Coastal and river deltas. The Indian textiles were known for their fine quality and excellent craftsmanship. The export of textiles was dominated by Indian merchants. It was a time when there was no advanced transportation like railways. So the weaving centers were located across river deltas to make it easy to transport manufactured goods and commodities across distant regions. Some centers on river banks were Bengal, Dacca, etc. In South India, the centers located in the coastal regions like Pulicat, Madras etc became important trade centers.
