Detailed Solution

The Civil Code of 1804 is usually known as the Napoleonic Code. Napoleon Bonaparte introduced the Code in France and other regions of Europe that he had conquered. It safeguarded the right to property, abolished all privileges based on birth, and established equality before the law. Napoleon eliminated the feudal system, streamlined administrative divisions, and emancipated peasants from serfdom manorial dues in the Dutch Republic, Switzerland, Italy, and Germany. Guild limitations were also lifted in the towns. Systems for transportation and communication were enhanced. The Napoleonic Code helped control the regions under a standardised administration and management system.
