●        The Civil Disobedience Movement started in the year 1930. Civil disobedience means when a citizen refuses to obey the government. Mahatma Gandhi started this civil disobedience movement by Dandi March. Dandi March was held on 12th March 1930.
●        Gandhiji started his journey from Sabarmati Ashram to Dandi. Many people participated in this Dandi March.
●        Gandhiji started this movement against British rule. The Britishers prohibited Indians from collecting and selling salt.
●        They have imposed a high tax on salt. This led to the civil disobedience movement in India.
