COD or chemical oxygen demand determines the amount of oxygen that is consumed chemically to oxidize the organic matter present in the water. More the value of COD, the more the level of pollution of the water. So, among the three samples, sample C has the highest COD value which is 120ppm, and hence the most polluted water sample.
