(1) If X=Cl  then a white ppt. which is soluble in ammonium hydroxide is formed.

(2) If X=Br  then a pale yellow precipitate, sparingly soluble in ammonium hydroxide is formed.

(3) If X= I  then a yellow precipitate,  insoluble in ammonium hydroxide is formed.
