Communist International is also known as Comintern. It was a global communist organisation that promoted communism. The World sought to "fight by all measures, including armed action, for the fall of the global bourgeoisie and the establishment of an international Soviet republic as a preliminary stage to the complete elimination of the State." Before the Second International's dissolution in 1916, the Comintern had already disintegrated. In Moscow, between 1919 and 1935, the Comintern hosted seven World Congresses. The three-way division over World War I that occurred inside the communist Second International gave rise to the Comintern.
