Detailed Solution

Congress passed a resolution demanding Purna Swaraj in 1929 at Lahore.
The Indian National Congress issued the Purna Swaraj declaration, also known as the Declaration of the Independence of India, on January 26, 1930, during the Lahore session. It resolved the Congress and Indian nationalists to fight for Purna Swaraj, or total self-rule independent of the British Empire. Jawaharlal Nehru raised the Indian flag on the banks of the Ravi River in Lahore on December 31, 1929. The Congress asked the Indian people to commemorate their independence on January 26. A resolution put up by Mahatma Gandhi demanded that the British give India dominion status within two years.
