Detailed Solution

The Constituent Assembly adopted the constitution of India on 26th November 1949.
The constituent assembly was the body of elected representatives who embraced the constitution of India on November 26, 1949, and it came into impact on January 26, 1950. The constituent assembly was selected in the elections of July 1946. It consisted of many prominent leaders of Indian politics like Jawaharlal Nehru and professional lawyers like Dr B.R. Ambedkar, also known as the father of the Indian Constitution. Our constitution is the lengthiest written constitution in the world. The constituent assembly took almost three years (two years, eleven months, and eighteen days) to complete as lots of sessions, meetings, and discussions were held to make a constitution according to the principles and values of democracy.
