Detailed Solution

The Constitution of India is partly flexible and partly rigid.
The following are some ways in which the Indian Constitution is both rigid and flexible:
1)      It is difficult to change the federal provisions of the Constitution, as in the partition of authority between the state and federal government.
2)      In these circumstances, a constitutional modification must be approved by two-thirds of the Parliament's members and ratified by fifty per cent of the states before the bill may be sent to the Parliament.
3)      In certain circumstances, a simple majority of members in attendance and voting is sufficient. Therefore, the states' approval is not required.
