Ortho effect more then more the acidity.

The Ortho effect is the process in which ortho-substituted Carboxylic acids which contain bulky groups at ortho position are  reasonably stronger than benzoic acid. It doesn't matter whether the substitute is electron-withdrawing or electron releasing.
