let Cost of 1 cup is x and
the cost of 1 spoon is y.
According to question
13x + 16y = 296   …(i)
16x + 13y = 284   …(ii)
from ean no (ii)
16x + 13y = 284
Substitute the value of x in eqn. (1)
On solving
y = 12
put the value of y = 12 in eqn (i)
13x + 16y = 296
13x + 16 × 12 = 296
13x = 296 – 192
13x = 104
x = 8
Now the Cast of 2 Cups and 5 spoons
= 2x + 5y
= 2 × 8 + 5 × 12
= 16 + 60
= Rs 76
