Detailed Solution

Given the cost of a toy telephone = cost of 4 balls.
Fixed cost for packing a toy telephone = ₹ 2.
Let x represents the cost of a toy telephone and y represents the cost of ball.
  x=4y   the cost of a toy telephone is the same as cost of 4 balls
Given that, cost of 1 ball is ₹5,
y=5  .
x=4y x=4×5 x=20
The cost of getting 1 toy telephones packed = ₹20 + ₹ 2 = ₹ 22.
Total cost of getting 2 toy telephones packed = 2 ×  ₹22 = ₹44.
Therefore, x=4y   is the linear equation in two variables and the cost of getting 2 toy telephones packed is ₹44.
Hence, option (1) is correct.
