The cost of fencing a rectangular field at ₹ 30 per meter is ₹ 2400. If the length of the field is 24 m, then its breadth is 16 m.
Given the cost of fencing a rectangular field at ₹ 30 per meter is ₹ 2400.
Perimeter of field is,

= cost of fencing rectangular field cost of fencing per meter

= 240030

= 80m
Let breadth be x.
Now, the perimeter of the rectangle = 2(Length + Breadth).
80 = 2(24 + x)
48 + 2x =80
2x = (80-48)
2x = 32

x = 322

x = 16 m
The breadth of the rectangular field is 16 m.
