Cost of painting the metal sheet

=

square of its area.
Length of the rectangular metal sheet

= 2 x y

Breadth of the metal sheet

= 3 x 2 y

Area of the rectangular metal sheet

= l × b

This is equal to

2 x y × 3 x 2 y = 6 x 3 y 2

Now it is given that cost of the painting metal sheet = (Area of the sheet)
