Detailed Solution

The cotton piece goods production doubled in India from 1900 through 1912.
Several modifications impacted the pattern of industrialisation by the first decade of the twentieth century. Nationalists organised people to boycott imported clothing as the Swadeshi Movement gained traction. Industrial associations banded together to defend their shared interests, exerting pressure on the government to tighten trade restrictions and make other concessions. Additionally, since the Chinese market was swamped with goods from Chinese and Japanese mills starting in 1906, the shipment of Indian yarn to China decreased. Indian entrepreneurs started switching from producing yarn to textiles as a result. Between 1900 and 1912, India's production of cotton goods increased twofold.
