Detailed Solution

The countryside places where the non-cooperation movement began were Awadh and Gudem Hills of Andhra Pradesh.
The non-cooperation movement spread to the countryside from the cities. It accepted the struggles of peasants and tribals, which developed in different parts of India after the war. A sanyasi leader, Baba Ramchandra of Awadh, led the peasants' non-cooperation movement from Awadh. He had been working as an indentured labourer in Fiji. The action was aimed against landlords who demanded extraordinary high rents. In the early 1920s, a militant guerilla movement spread in the Gudem Hills of Andhra Pradesh. Alluri Sitarama Raju was the leader of this revolt and became a local hero after his death at the hands of the colonial government.
