Density of NaOH=1.20 g/ml

We know that density=MassVolume

Therefore, Volume=MassDensity

 Volume=100 1.20ml

No. of moles=Given MassMolar Mass

Then,

moles of NaOH=2040=12=0.5

moles of water =8018=4.4

Now, Mole fraction=Moles of solute(NaOH)Total moles of solution

therefore, mole fraction of (NaOH)=0.50.5+4.4=0.54.9=0.102

Then, Mole fraction of water =(1-0.102)=0.898=0.917(approx)
