From above figure,  AC,BD are diagonals of quadrilateral  ABCDare perpendicular.

Points P, Q, R, and S are mid-points of ABand  BC respectively.

In ΔABC , P and  Q are mid points of  AB  and  BC. So ,by Mid point theorem PQAC; PQ=12AC.........(1)

Similarly in  ACD , R,  and S are mid point of sides CD and AD.

SRAC; SR=12AC.......(2)

From (1) and (2). we get

PQSR and  PQSR

Hence, PQRS is parallelogram  ( pair of opposite sides are equal and parallel)

Now, RSAC and QRBD

 

Also, ACBD (Given)

RSQR

Thus, PQRS is a rectangle.
