Detailed Solution

Given,
Bus speed= 66 km/hr
Since, 1 km = 1000 m and 1 m = 100 cm also 1 hour = 60 minute. Thus, speed in cm/min can be given as,
Bus speed= 66×1000×10060 cm/min
Bus speed = 110000 cm/min
Diameter of wheel D= 140 cm
Radius of it r=1402=70 cm
So, wheel circumference
C=2×227×70=440 cm
So, distance covered by wheel in each rotation = 440 cm
Thus, revolutions per minute,
RPM=110000440
RPM=250
Correct option is 2.
