The difference between lymphatic vessels and blood vessels is that lymph vessels

Unlike blood vessels that carry blood both to (arteries) and away from (veins) the tissues, lymphatic vessels carry blood away from the tissues only. Like veins, lymphatic vessels are valvular. Lymph capillaries are more permeable than blood capillaries and collect interstitial fluid from the tissue spaces.
