Detailed Solution

There are three zones in a flame. They are:
A: Non-luminous zone
B: Luminous zone
C: Dark zone
The zone of full combustion is the non-luminous zone. It is the hottest part of the candle flame and produces very little light.
The middle zone is a fairly heated zone with a restricted supply of oxygen.
C is a black zone because it does not allow for burning. Because there isn't enough air.
