Detailed Solution

S=x2+y2-2x-2y+1=0   centre C=(1, 1),r=1 Given point P(2, 3)

Equation of polar of P is S1=0

2x+3y-(x+2)-(y+3)+1=0 x+2y-4=0    -(1)

Equation CP is

y-1=2 (x-1) y-1=2x-2 2x-y-1=0    -(2)

Solving  (1) & (2) is

  x+2y-4=0 4x-2y-2=0 5x-6=0   x=65  ,  y=75

inverse point is Q 65, 75

 Polar of Q w.r.to S=0  is S1=0    x+2y-8=0(3) Now distance between (1) and (3) is  =-8+45=45
