The distribution of agricultural land in Palampur is unequal.
About one-third of 450 families are landless. Of the remaining families with their land, 240 cultivate small plots of less than 2 hectares. On the contrary, a significant portion of the village's region is covered by large plots. About 60 households of moderate and rich farmers ploughed greater than 2 hectares. Some of the large farmers have land of 10 hectares or more. All those farmers indulged in farming do not earn enough livelihood. All these reports tell us that the division of agricultural land in Palampur is not equal.
