The temperature coefficient of emf a cell designed as Zn| Zn²⁺|| Cu²⁺|Cu is – 1.4 × 10^–4v per degree. For a cell reaction in equilibrium $\mathrm{\Delta G}=0$ and ${\mathrm{\Delta G}}^{\circ }=-2.303\mathrm{RTlog}{\mathrm{K}}_{\mathrm{c}}$. The heat of reaction and entropy change during the reaction are related by $\mathrm{\Delta G}=\mathrm{\Delta H}-\mathrm{T\Delta S}$.
