Detailed Solution

China, Japan, and Korea invented the earliest print technology. This method of printing was done by hand. Books were printed in China starting in AD 594 by rubbing paper, which was also created there against the inked surface of woodblocks. The traditional Chinese "accordion book" was folded and stitched at the side because it was impossible to print on both sides of the thin, porous page. The elegance of calligraphy was a task that only exceptionally talented artisans could replicate with remarkable perfection.
