Detailed Solution

The early phase of industrialisation is called Proto-Industrialisation. The stage of industrialisation that occurred even before the first factories were built in England and Europe is referred to as the "proto-industrialisation phase." Then, there was a massive amount of industry. It was produced on a vast scale for an international market,     but it was not based in factories and was entirely handcrafted. During the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries, European merchants relocated to rural areas. There, they provided peasants and artisans with the financial resources they needed to make goods for sale in an international market. Because different rulers awarded guilds the sole right to create and sell particular goods, merchants within cities were limited in their production. They were strictly instructed not to extend their operations.
