The Eastern coastal plain stretches from Bengal to Kanyakumari.
The east seaside plain starts from the north with the fields shaped by the Subarnarekha River to reach out toward the south till Kanyakumari. It consequently extends for almost 1500 km, with almost a width of 100 km. toward the east of this plain lies the broad blue waters of the Bay of Bengal and toward the west of the plain lies the leftovers of Eastern Ghat slopes.
