Myopia is a prevalent vision problem in which a person can see items clearly up close but not far away. This occurs because the eyeball lengthens excessively or, more precisely, because the Cornea, the outermost layer of the eye, is overly curved, preventing light rays from entering the eye from focusing properly. Therefore, rather than developing on the retina, the image of the objects will form in front of the retina. The result is blurry vision, making it difficult for the person to see clearly. Shortsightedness is another name for this problem.
