Concept- K, L, and M shells provide electronic configuration, which we must classify here. The primary quantum number is inversely proportional to the energy of the shell. The lowest-energy shell has the smallest radius and is closest to the nucleus. As a result, the K shell has the lowest energy and consequently the most gradual increase.
The formula 2 n 2   gives the maximum number of electrons in a particular shell, where n is the number of energy shells or energy levels. As a result, the number of electrons present for K=1  is 2. The number of electrons present in the case of L=2   is 8, whereas the number of electrons present in the case of M is 18.
Even though it has the capacity to take up additional electrons, the maximum number of electrons in any subshell cannot be more than 8 in any of the orbits, according to the first rule.
